The Story of Sigurd the Volsung and the Fall of the Niblungs
2nd edition, and Morris's favourite of his own poems
Second edition, hardback. 20.5 × 14.5cm, vii + 392pp, 4pp ads.
William Morris's epic poem that tells the tragic story, drawn from the Volsunga Saga and the Elder Edda, of the Norse hero Sigmund, his son Sigurd, and Sigurd's wife Gudrun. It was Morris's favourite of his own poems.
A good reading copy. The cloth is scuffed and bumped and the title label to the spine is worn away. The inner binding is pulled and a little weak in places but the main body of text is in good clean condition.
