Printing Details

Third edition. First printing in Cape's Life & Letters Series. Hardback, bound in green cloth with titling to spine and upper board. 20.5 × 14cm, 319pp + ads.

The first and perhaps most important of the composer Peter Warlock (pseud. Philip Heseltine) by Cecil Gray, his close friend. Gray's book, published a few years after Warlock's death, is both a warm tribute and study of the magical impact of Warlock's life and music.

A good reading copy. The spine is sunned and there is a slight lean. The book was a gift in 1938 and there are several initials to the ffep. Otherwise, the inner binding is firm and the pages are clean.
