from the author of Kes
First edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 20.5 × 13cm, 220pp.
The story of a gamekeeper's year rearing pheasants in the North, of the fields and woodlands, and of the locals. The author was best known for Kes.
A good copy. The duswrapper is clean but has a "New Fiction Society" label partially removed at the base of the spine. It has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve. The book is in good solid shape with light foxing to the page edges.
