Its Scientific and Imaginative Meaning
First edition. Hardback, with gilt titling to spine. 22.5 × 14.5cm, xi + 339pp.
A book on child psychology and education by the son of George MacDonald. In this book, Greville MacDonald interprets some of his father's thoughts on education. He writes that "the means and purposes of education are to bring into germination, flowering and fruit-bearing the child's sleeping inheritance."
A reading copy. The binding is rubbed all over and the fore-edge of the front and rear boards have damp-staining and nicks to the cloth. However, the inner binding is sound and the pages are clean. A perfectly good reference copy.
