Murder on the Orient Express
Rare second printing from Collins Crime Club
First edition, second impression hardback, bound in the original orange cloth with printed black titling to spine and upper board. 19 × 12.5cm, 254pp + 2pp ads.
A lavish trip through Europe quickly unfolds into a race against time to solve a murder aboard a train. When an avalanche stops the Orient Express dead in its tracks, the world's greatest detective—Hercule Poirot—arrives to interrogate all passengers and search for clues before the killer can strike again.
A rare second printing of his classic crime novel. The orange cloth binding has mottled fading to the spine and the edges of the boards. The title page and half-title are heavily foxed, with tanning to the endpapers. The pages edges have spotted foxing but the main body of text is in good condition with sporadic foxing throughout, mostly to the margins. Most pages are clean. There is minor rubbing to the corners and spine ends but otherwise the book is in good shape. The inner binding is secure with no damage to the hinges.
