Signed and dedicated by Jack Lindsay
First edition, first printing hardback in dustwrapper. 19 × 12.5cm, 270pp.
Signed and dedicated by Jack Lindsay to the ffep, "To I. Grumberg, with the best wishes of Jack Lindsay, April 1947". It appears Lindsay has also written Grunberg's address (the Hotel Gabillon in France) to the front pastedown.
Time to Live is a novel written round the arrangements for a London street party on VE Day. Told with verve and gaiety and is an endearing story painting a vivid and shrewdly observed picture of an English community.
The book is in good condition, with some spotted foxing to the pages edges and tanning to the text. The dustwrapper suffers loss along the top edge, and is scuffed (both to wrapper an cloth) at the base of the spine but remains a nice signed readable copy.
Please note: Due to the recent price rise for final mile delivery from USPS, our postage rates to the US have had to rise. We apologise for this but have no choice.
