This pocket facsimile of Alices Adventures in Wonderland was hand-made by Edward Wakeling, the Lewis Carroll scholar, and limited to 42 copies of which this is number 5. Edward Wakeling has signed this copy to fellow Lewis Carroll scholar professor Morton N Cohen. Also included is a typed letter signed from Edward Wakeling to Morton Cohen.
A reduced facsimile of the Harry Furniss illustrated Alice in Wonderland created by Edward Wakeling for a Lewis Carroll Society event in Hastings in 1985. In his brief introduction, he states that this is taken from the three instalments that were published in Arthur Mee's The Children's Encyclopedia during 1908/1909. The quality of the reproduction isn't great, this remains a charming copy with an interesting association of two Lewis Carroll scholars.
Very good condition. The only thing that should be noted is the quality of the printing which is a bit faint in places.
