Second impression, hardback in super original Jazz Age dustwrapper. 18.5 × 12.5cm, 284pp.

Barbara Winship, pretty but penniless orphan from Savannah, Ga., goes to Paris to live with her middle-aged uncle and aunt, the Selbys. This is the story of her conquest of Paris. This novel was the author's first book, and she was the sister of American author Julien Green.

The book is in good condition with secure binding but some spotted foxing to the page edges and endpapers. The dustwrapper has some loss to the spine ends and a crease to the front panel but is now within a protective sleeve.
