Ancient Pottery of the Mississippi Valley
with over 100 illustrations
[Undated but date pencilled in]. Hardback offprint, bound in quarter leather with cloth boards and gilt titling to spine. 28 × 19cm, pp361–436.
A fascinating illustrated study of the ancient pottery of the Mississippi valley, with approximately 100 black & white drawings, describing the bowls, pot-shaped vessels, wide-mouthed bottles and jars, etc from the Middle and Upper Mississippi provinces.
A good reference copy. The leather rubbed to the joints with loss at the spine ends. The pages are tanned and the inner binding pulled in places. However, it remains intact and forms a valuable resource of the works described.
