Full title: Behind an Eastern Veil, A Plain Tale of Events Occurring in the Experience of a Lady Who Had a Unique Opportunity of Observing the Inner Life of Ladies of the Upper Class in Persia.

The author, Charles James Wills, worked as a doctor in Persia for many years, and here translates his experiences into a novel. This was perhaps his best known novel.

Condition

An attractive copy in very good condition. There is a patch of fading to the upper board and moderate rubbing to the spine ends and joints. Light foxing to the page edges but the main body of text in good, clean condition. The inner binding is secure. Previous owner's name to half-title.
