Vita Sackville-West's first book of poetry to be published publicly (she's described as The Hon. Mrs Harold Nicolson). It is illustrated with a frontispiece of Constantinople, which also features in a number of poems (they had lived there 1912–1914, a place that Vita loved). This collection also includes the poem "To Knole, October 1, 1913".
A rare book in good to fair condition. The boards are marked, corners rubbed and the spine is creased. Internally, the pages are clean but tanned to the edges. The inner binding is secure but pulled in places. Previous owner's inscription from 1917 to the ffep.
