First edition, limp cloth binding with printed titling. 18 × 12cm, 125pp.

A series of chapters on the various strokes (crawl, breast, back etc) in swimming, as well as diving and floating. Illustrated with photographs. The chapter on the crawl is by Cecil Healy, an Australian Olympic swimmer who was killed in the Great War in 1918. A brief tribute is printed before his chapter.

Condition

A rough copy, the covers are faded, rubbed and bumped and the contents have some grubby marking to the page. However, it is complete and still readable.
