Full title: Voyages de Gulliver dans des Contrees Lointaines.

An attractive French edition of Jonathan Swift's classic work which is both a satire on human nature and a parody of the "travellers' tales" literary subgenre. This edition illustrated throughout by J. J. Grandville (as Granville), the famous French caricaturist.

A decent copy but with some wear. The cloth is faded to the spine and bumped to the corners. Previous owner's inscription to the front pastedown. The main body of text in good clean condition, and well bound.
