A rare London history from 1877
Revised and corrected edition, hardback bound in the original cloth with gilt titling to upper board. 19 × 12.5cm, 175pp + ads.
A very rare history of the Paddington district of London, in two parts from its origins through to its state n Victorian London, with chapters on the Paddington Estate, churches, clerics, wasteland and its purchase, the Grand Junction Canal Company, charities etc The book closes with several pages of advertisements for local businesses.
The book is readable but in quite delicate condition. The inner binding weakened with pages beginning to lift from the bottom edge. The pages are also a little tanned and the boards rubbed. However, this is a scarce London history and complete.
