First edition, hardback bund in red cloth boards with printed titling to spine and upper board. 16.5 × 10.5cm, vii, 165pp + 3pp ads (the ads include a lengthy list of the author's compositions).

Signed and dedicated to the title page by the author, "To F Harold Hawkins, from his friend Charles Vincent, Feb 1900"

A study of harmony (chords, modulation, major scale etc) by Charles Vincent, an English composer. He was Doctor of Music at Oxford and Organist of Christ Church. Among his works he harmonised The National Anthems of the Allies in 1917, and the British and Japanese national anthems.


Good condition. The spine is sunned and the boards are rubbed and marked a little, The binding is sound and pages clean, if a little tanned.
