Winter Day in a Glasshouse
First edition, first printing hardback in dustwrapper. 20.5 × 13cm, 223pp.
From the dustwrapper, "A girl is dead. The glasshouse of Sally Griffiths' novel is a Catholic girls' school which has just sustained the loss of one of its seniors who fell through a window into the quadrangle below. Why? Was it suicide? Was it even something more sinister? The school is in chaos—staff and pupils equally disturbed, and especially Rose, who had a stong emotional relationship with the dead girl Bernice. The discovery of Bernice's diary leads to further speculation: and in the hope of solving the conundrum Rose runs away to cross-questions Bernice's father..."
Whilst the book is in strong readable condition, it has a heavy pen mark to all sides on the page edges. The dustwrapper is beadly creased and torn to the rear panel but is now within a protective sleeve.
