Full title: D. Junii Juvenalis Aquinatis Satirae XVI. Ad optimorum exemplarium fidem recensitae, perpetuo commentario illustae, atque Proemio et Argumentis Instructae, a Georgio Alex Ruperti.
The Satires are a collection of satirical poems by the Latin author Juvenal written in the late 1st and early 2nd centuries AD. They are here presented in the original Latin, with extensive notes (also in Latin) and a copious index.
A good copy. The leather is quite well-worn, with scuffing and bumping, the joints a little worn but still attached. The pages are foxed throughout to varying degrees, some untouched but most with a little and some considerably. This copy has the bookplate of John Hopton of Canon Frome in Herefordshire.
