Michael Church is the Official Derby Historian, and this is one of his monumental and classic works, a history of the Derby Stakes, detailing the history, the races, winners and jockeys, and extensive records and analyses. Illustrated with photographs and contemporary illustrations.
This copy is in very good condition. There is a small patch to the pages' outer edge where the gilt is missing (this is a small spot) and there are a few small bumps and scuffs to the purple binding but otherwise a very nice copy.
