This copy has been signed and dated by the author's wife, the Scottish artist Katharine Cameron (1874–1965). The book also carries an earlier dedication to John C Annan, a Glaswegian photographer, in an unknown hand.
This book is Arthur Kay's description of his art collection, including John Constable, Degas, Solario, Vermeer etc and the history of how he acquired them. The book is illustrated with sepia tone reproductions, mostly full-page.
Katharine Cameron was an artist who illustrated The Yellow Book and books of fairy tales as well as her own enchanting paintings. She was the sister of D Y Cameron.
In generally good condition, the boards grubby and with spotting, the interior clean with scattered foxing, an obituary of the author to the front pastedown.
