Full title: The Golden Treasury, Selected from the best songs and lyrical poems in the english language and arranged with notes. With a supplementary fifth book selected, arranged, and annotated by Laurence Binyon.

An early printing of The Golden Treasury with Laurence Binyon's additions. He added poets such as William Barnes, Christina Rossetti, Thomas Hardy, Charles Sorley, John Clare to Palgrave's selection of the classics—George Herbert, Thomas Nashe, Cowley, Marvell, Milton, Wordworth etc etc.

A very attractive copy. The boards are slightly bowed as is wont to happen with vellum, and both front and rear have some spotting and rubbing. The spine is in very good condition. The gilding to the page edges is crisp. Internally, the binding is very secure. The pages are clean bar some light spotted foxing to the prelims. A delightful copy with an interesting provenance.
