Ted Hughes' selection of Keith Douglas' verse, the poet who was killed in Normandy aged 24. As Ted Hughes writes in his introduction, "[Douglas] appeared to most readers as a war-poet. Now... it becomes clear that he offers more than just a few poems about war, and that every poem he wrote, has some special value".
The book itself is in very good condition with clean pages and secure binding. The wrapper remains in good condition also, but has some light wear to the edges and a little tanning to the spine. The wrapper has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve.
