The Greater Infortune
First US edition
First US edition, hardback in dustwrapper. 21 × 14cm. 191pp.
A reworking of Heppenstall's second novel Saturnine, The Greater Infortune is set in the period immediately preceding and during the Second World War and is the story of a permanently displaced member of society.
A good reading copy. Whilst the book is in good shape, the endpapers and pastedowns are heavily foxed. The dustwrapper is also foxed and a little tanned, and the boards are marked. However, a perfectly good reading copy.
